avec mon oncle edgard.jpgAt Pointe-à-Pitre I worked with two new coaches :Bernard and Isère Vincent. They were as demanding as Claudy which gave me some continuity. With them I improve my technical skills with special emphasis on the ability with my left foot. From here on I set myself many new objectives. At the same time, I carry on with Guadeloupian selection for the under 14 and I make my first trip to mainland France for the coupe nationale de Vichy.

That year, Le Havre, then in Division1,has a club scout in Port Louis. I partake in it but I am not selected in spite of my good performance. Regardless of that setback I maintained my confidence and persevered with Red Star, our quality team finishes second in the championship behind La Juve of Sainte-Anne. Red Star offered us a wonderful reward for our effort by sending us to the tournament of Roubaix which we won. It remains the best memory of my Guadeloupian career.

mon premier tournoi en metropole.jpgSM Caen, partner of the Red Star, now offers me the opportunity of a week- training in Normandy. It is Philippe Tranchant who welcomes me. Three training sessions later and he doesn’t want to let me go and ask’s me to remain at the training center with the under 16 team. Despite all the difficult decisions about leaving my home, I agree to stay even though I don’t have a contract. I thank all the players, managers and coaches from the Red Star for the great season spent together.

mon entraineur isere vincent au centre.jpgI would also like to thank my mother and my uncle Edgard for their constant support. More than an uncle, Edgard has been like a father to me. They are at the core of my success and my self-fulfilment.
