This is it, now I begin my first season at the highest level. The first excellent news of the season are the fixtures proposed by the LFP with a first trip to PSG, a club that I admire. My first match in league 1 takes place in front of a capacity crowd at the D’Ornano stadium against Istres (1-1). I am on the team sheet from the second match, which allows me to step onto the mythical turf of the Parc des Princes.

The start to the season is promising and I even begin to think about Europe when after the fifth fixture we are 9th in the league.
 

The icing on the cake is that I am selected by France Under 21 National Team in November with the hope of playing against the Netherlands at Sete in France (3-0). I even score my first goal in Israel (2-3) where after a good run I scored a superb goal from 30 meters! This performance got me into the French Under 21 National Team for the Euro 2006 qualifying rounds.

I also remember that in December we welcomed l’Olympique Marseille to the Stade Malherbe, where, after a great match and being a man down, we lost unfairly 3 -2 with the fans on fire. We began to be in trouble in the league but we managed to qualify for the quarter-finals of the league cup in Sochaux through a penalty shootout.
 

After the winter break, there was the fantastic game against Monaco (3-1) in a semi-final that I watched from the stands. A wonderful memory is my first goal in League 1 against Saint-Etienne on the 14thMay. The last part of the championship, with its up and down is difficult as is outlined already with 2 finals against Strasbourg and Istres.
 

The first will be a magical moment particularly the visit to the Clairfontaine castle and the public who came in great numbers wearing our colours. This first final, we lost 2 – 1 against Strasbourg, but it has the merit to give us a boost and gain a few victories allowing us to travel to Istres with our fate in our hands. The continuation/the end... it’s up to us...

I returned to Guadeloupe at the end of the season in order to get some well needed rest. I take advantage of this time to organise a match between my two former clubs: L’ASR and the Red Star. It is the first time since my departure that I have been able to gather all the people to whom I owe so much. I also had the chance to take part in a charity match with Gallas, Pancrate, Piquionne....
